I ordered Valkyria Chronicles today.
Rubix
SFII on the PS3. Damn I really suck at this game now.
{rkhd}
Brave Story: New Traveler (PSP) and Final Fantasy IV (NDS).
wporter
That Brave Story is the *waste*.
Mr.Hollowpoint
Xbox 360 60GB and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts - mad.gif I broke down today after reading the Play and Gamestm review of the newest Banjo game. I went to GameCrazy and trade in one of my PS3 for the 360 and a copy of Banjo. I had to 360 before and both broke and I swore off the console, so I hope M$ fixed the hardware problems with the 360 becuase I'm in no mood to deal with it.
Reluctant Hero
Ninja Gaiden II, it's $10 at Best Buy this week.
bujeezus
bullet candy off of steam. i'll be picking up world of goo soon. that game is insane.
TGM
World of Goo (PC) is up on Amazon.com right now for 9.98 but only for another hour and half (or till they sell out).
wporter
Sid Meier's Pirates! (PSP) and a preorder for Star Ocean Second Evolution (PSP)
Rubix
Pre-ordered all my wanted games from now to March

Afro Samurai
SF IV
Halo Wars (may get cancelled if I don't like the demo)
MadWorld

I'm also on the fence about Killzone 2. I think I'll be holding off on that for now though.
wporter
Ordered Disgaea 3 from Gamefly, cost me 22 bucks shipped with my coupons and whatnot.
Santos L. Halper
Sly 2 and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror for PS2. Got em for free through the Playstation Retailer Loyalty site.
Rubix
Mega Man 9--Xbox edition

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X--PSP Edition

Both good, the psp game is way easy, I almost finished it in one sitting on hard.

9 is the truth of old school gaming. This game is rediculously hard and lots of fun.
Havoc 2072
I decided to add to my Nintendo DS backlog and bought Metal Slug 7, as it's only $20 now. It's a nice little package for the price, as it has a nice metal foil sleeve and comes with a mini-CD preview disc inside.
wporter
DLd The Maw off XBLA. Groovy little game right there.

Yeah - Stranglehold definitely looking forward to, I'd meant to pick it up for a while now. Found it for $19 too - pretty sweet deal.

PGR 4 - yeah, wouldn't have picked it up if it didn't happen to tag along with 12 mo. XBL / Headset and Chatpad - tried it out for a bit and your thoughts are confirmed.
Floydian Trip
It's a shame about PGR 4. Everytime I play Midnight Club with its power sliding I keep expecting to get Kudos.

Star Ocean First Departure (PSP)

I'm playing through Dawn of War right now. It's a good game, but I wouldn't call it great. Maybe if I was more into the Warhammer 40,000 universe, I would be more into the game. I'll still probably get Dawn of War II.

the focus on battle an not so much on the resource gatherin is my main reason for diggin it. i've always loved the idea of controlling little armies an such but hate the micromanagement side. too bad homeworld 1 an 2 don't go this route. my feeble little mind just gets overwhelmed. smile.gif
Polypusher
WOW: Wrath of the Lich King

I also got another one of those prepaid 60 day cards. Time to get my Death Knight on.
{rkhd}
I tried to find P4 last night. Best Buy, Zellers and Wal-Mart all did not have it. I knew I should have bought it when I was in the States a few weeks ago..

Star Ocean First Departure (PSP)

I've been waffling on this one for a while now. How is it?
Rubix
Picked up God of War 1 and 2 on a whim yesterday while we were on our way home from the snowboarding trip. $15 for both at this flea market we stopped at.
Polypusher
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

I couldn't find this thing in the stores anywhere, so the ebay route was taken. It arrived in the mail today. WOOT!

Fun game. There are certain parts where you have to play single player sections to progress which sucks, because they're pretty hard. At least the one I'm stuck on is. laugh.gif Be sweet if it had online play so we could bust some zombie heads together.

I haven't gotten to the more challenging parts yet. I'm playing solo anyways, as there is no one here to help me now. Online would have been a nice feature. Has there been an online light gun game yet? I'm trying to rack my brain, but I don't think there has been. One would think lag wouldn't be an issue with this kind of game.
MCRam1
I really liked Umbrella Chronicles, but it is somewhat carpel tunnel inducing. But I don't have the zapper, so maybe it's easier w/ the special controller.

Yeah man that's exactly what I was thinking. As far as I know of there hasn't been one yet.....a 4 player light gun game where you could play online or off would be awesome.

do you know how many damn nickles it took to beat the T2 arcade game at the nickle arcade back in the day? me neither, because me and my buddy got a janked the manager outta free pass back then. It must have been about 300 Uzi continues later though.

BTW. What ever happened to FMV anyways?
Havoc 2072
Thankfully it died with the 3DO and Sega CD.

I never did beat T2 The arcade game. Spent a lot of quarters on it though. Yeah, that's what somebody should make...all these compilations of old games coming out and not one light gun game compilation? All the Sega light gun games on one disc.....
MCRam1
T2! So great... although I put more money into Operation Wolf. But when are they going to make a next-gen Aerosmith lightgun game?

Finally tracked down Persona 4. Think I wanna get into it after FFIVDS: The 2nd Playthrough Diamond Edition 2009.

Today I picked up:

Retro Game Challenge - DS
Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset

I found the headset "used" at Gamestop, but was actually brand new and in mint condition. I couldn't pass it buy for $36 with my Edge card. I'll post about Retro Game Challenge tonight, or tomorrow, in the handheld forum.

Havoc 2072
Xbox 360 Arcade with the Jasper chipset. My Elite was a POS and MS wanted to charge me to fix it after it broke for the second time, since it was 90 days past the last time it broke. I feel like taking it down to the range and shooting it up with a shotgun. I hate faulty and cheap equipment and almost bailed on the whole console scene. Peace and Love. biggrin.gif

Sega Superstars Tennis (X360)

Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (X360)

And so that I can properly play Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and some other XBLA games, a Street Fighter IV Ken Fightpad. (X360)

I also purchased one about 2 weeks ago. That Sonic Superstar Tennis is actually pretty fun! I hope this 360 last longer than a year! mad.gif

OK this is weird. I just bought a copy of Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES used at some damn near abandoned mall and it's not the Doki Doki Panic one that we got. It's the actual Japanese version. The cart has a white background with a picture of Mario giving the peace sign, of course he's just throwing up 2 fingers because it's SMB2 but you know what I'm saying. Also the letters VGK are on it and it's got that licensed by Nintendo seal so obviously Nintendo didn't make it. Strange. I also bought a Super Mario Bros. 3 only it says "Challenge Version" and the VGK letters are on it as well along the licensed by seal. What the hell is going on, man?

Some mall. Some store. Was there an elf behind the counter? Sounds like the plot of some '80s kid sci-fi movie. Have you played the game? Maybe you'll get sucked into
your t.v.

Just picked up Motorstorm Pacific Rift, found it used for a decent price, and the demo showed enough improvements over the original (Loading times) to make it worthwhile.

Yeah man I've been playing the new demo they put out of Motorstorm and I dig it. I liked the first one a lot but the second rectifies the, in my opinion, one major flaw of the first, and that was its lack of splitscreen multiplayer. I could see myself and my brother playing it for hours.

Anyways, what do you think of the full game?
Rubix
So far I'm really impressed, seems like a step up from the first in all areas. I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, but got turned off by the loading times and the sameness of most of the tracks.

So far, this has impressed me quite a bit. Seems like the racing is the same balls to the walls edge of your seat excitement from the first, but the game has lots of color, very dynamic tracks and of course, the split screen.

The trophies are also pretty interesting, not just your standard, do "x" stuff, but some really cool things as well.

And yes, the monster truck is fun to drive. Challenging to drive, but very fun.
